REPORTS
An announcement was made that the Orange County Grand Jury is inquiring into city code requirements for wood shakes and shingles.

A representative of the City of Fullerton inquired if most jurisdictions were allowing aluminum wiring. Most jurisdictions represented stated that aluminum is allowed only if the NEC is followed and it is installed properly with special inspection for smaller wire sizes.

There was a question raised as to whether anyone had heard of a letter advocating the adoption of the ICC Codes in California in the code cycle of 2004. It seems that no one has heard of such a letter.
